Jake Paul Hospitalized After Loss to Anthony Joshua

Jake Paul was taken to the hospital after his bout with former heavyweight world champion Anthony Joshua in Miami, amid fears that he suffered a fractured jaw during the fight.

The 28-year-old social media star-turned-boxer showed grit across six rounds but was eventually overwhelmed by Joshua’s clear physical advantages, particularly his power and size. Following the match, Paul disclosed that he believed his jaw might be broken. This was later backed up by his promoter, Nakisa Bidarian, who confirmed that Paul required medical checks and could be sidelined for four to six weeks.

Even with the injury, Paul remained upbeat while addressing the outcome. He said he enjoyed the experience and reaffirmed his passion for boxing, despite posting images and clips online that revealed the bruising nature of the contest.

Looking ahead, the former cruiserweight contender said he plans to rest briefly before continuing his career, maintaining his ambition of competing for a cruiserweight world championship. He praised Joshua as an elite fighter, acknowledging the defeat as part of the sport and vowing to return stronger.

Paul also admitted that exhaustion influenced the result, noting that coping with Joshua’s size drained him and that improved conditioning could have allowed him to last longer in the ring.
